The Tenmile Farm Foundation believes that every emergency food program in the nation should have access to the food supply and operational support required to reliably and consistently feed their community with dignity. By reimagining we way we fund and supply emergency food programs, and complementing food rescue donations with strategic supply, we can help our partners create efficiencies that improve their ability to serve, getting us closer to our joint goal of ensuring that all people have equal access to healthy food. Together, we are reimagining the emergency food supply model to feed more people better.
OUR FARM
Our 80-acre farm in the Dover Plains region of Upstate New York provides fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables and proteins to emergency food programs across the Tri-State area, bridging the gap between food rescue donations and the actual food supply needed to best serve our communities.
OUR PARTNERS
We work directly with partner organizations such as food kitchens, pantries and other emergency food programs to better understand their needs and the communities they serve, providing strategic, operational and logistical support to help them more efficiently meet their service missions
OUR KITCHEN
In 2024 Tenmile Farm will also serve as a commercial kitchen and aggregation point, working to collect, process and distribute food across the region. Our team helps stretch production and extend the lifecycle of our farm’s freshly grown produce through prepared foods. We also make our kitchen available to local farmers and other food purveyors in the region.
